Bristol Craft Beer Festival is Back!

Fantastic news beer lovers – the Bristol Craft Beer Festival is back! Now in its second year, the festival will run from 15th – 17th September and will showcase the best of Bristol’s breweries as well as other creative brewers from across the UK and around the world.

The event (taking place at Motion) promises to be a celebration of independent beers but will also demonstrate how and why Bristol is at the forefront of the craft beer scene. Bristol’s best are well represented with the likes of Wild Beer Co, Wiper & True, Lost & Grounded, Left Handed Giant and many more still to be announced. From across the UK confirmed breweries include London’s Beavertown, Verdant from Falmouth, South Bermondsey’s Partizan, Thornbridge from Derbyshire, Siren from Wokingham, North Brew from Leeds, Scotland’s Tempest and DEYA from up the road in Cheltenham. From overseas Belgium will be represented by Brasserie De La Senne, Sweden by Beerbliotek, Holland by Oedipus and Denmark by Mikkeller. There will be more than 200 beers on offer from over 30 different breweries.

Greg Wells, co-founder, Bristol Craft Beer Festival, commented: “The awesome local craft breweries in Bristol are getting global recognition and this event is for them, but we’re also bringing the best of the rest too – so expect beers never before poured in Bristol.

“The great thing at our festival is you don’t have to worry about which beer to choose, we want you to enjoy whatever you want so a single ticket gives you the chance to try every beer in the place. Welcome to beer freedom.”

Tickets are already available but selling quickly, so if you want a piece of the action visit – ticket cost is £38 and this includes entry, unlimited pours of any beers on offer from all of the brewers, a chance to talk to the beer makers themselves, plus a free beer tasting glass and event programme to keep. Entry to the festival is purchased through sessions, with each session lasting 5 hours (more than enough time to work your way through over 200 beers I’m sure!)

I am going along, because it’s about time I educated myself on everything craft beer – come and have one with me?!
